Reckless Chess 2.5.3

In this innovative game, players engage in strategic battles and movements using a set of customizable dice. The online experience offers unique environments that enhance gameplay, allowing for player-versus-player competition and a system of rewards.

• Moving:

  At the beginning of each turn, players roll an eight-sided Move Die (ranging from 0 to 7) to determine the maximum number of spaces their pieces may advance during that turn. A roll of zero results in a skipped turn. Movement is limited to the same restrictions found in Classic Chess.

• Battling:

  Prior to capturing an opponent's piece, players must defeat it in battle using dice mechanics. Each piece type utilizes a specific die:

  • Pawn - 4-sided die
  • Bishop/Knight - 8-sided die
  • King - 10-sided die (0-9)
  • Rook/Queen - 12-sided die

  Attackers also benefit from an additional four-sided die. To capture a piece, the attacker must win the roll; failure results in returning to their original square. It’s important to note that the King cannot be attacked directly; instead, it must be forced into surrender through checkmate.
